Saatnya Modifikasi Theme

Maaf teman2 pengunjung setia blog ini, beberapa minggu terakhir ini saya memang disibukkan dengan banyaknya aktifitas paid review yang tentunya memakan waktu. Btw, Google sudah mengupdate PRnya beberapa hari yang lalu dan blog saya ini naik PRnya menjadi PR4 dari yang sebelumnya PR3. Karena dapet PR4, setelah berpikir matang2, akhirnya saya memutuskan untuk tetap membuat postingan review di blog ini. Sebelumnya saya memang berniat untuk tidak membuat postingan review lg di blog ini tapi apa daya saya pun tergiur dengan dolar yang ditawarkan oleh para broker review itu. Kesempatan tidak datang sekali. Walhasil para pengunjung setia blog ini pun pada kabur entah kemana gara2 saking bosennya tiap masuk ke blog ini pasti yang didapet hanya posting2an review semua.

Memang segala keputusan yang diambil pasti ada konsekuensinya. Keuntungan yang didapat dari keputusan saya untuk tetap membuat postingan review di blog ini tentunya saya mendapatkan penghasilan yg lumayan (secara PR4) dari broker paid review itu. Disamping itu ada pula sisi negatifnya, sewaktu-waktu PR blog ini bisa digebuk menjadi nol oleh Google gara2 keseringan nulis paid post, para pengunjung blog ini semakin hari semakin berkurang karena mereka hanya melihat postingan review alias spam tiap kali mereka berkunjung kesini dan yang lebih parahnya lagi, saya dikeluarkan dari sebuah web agregator (Batagor.net) karena feed dari blog ini kaco balo (isinya review semua).

Melihat sisi negatif yang telah saya jelaskan diatas, maka mau tidak mau saya pun harus pintar2 untuk menyembunyikan postingan review yang ada di blog saya ini. Tidak saya hapus tapi hanya disembunyikan saja. Ada beberapa hal yang saya lakukan untuk memodifikasi theme ini, seperti diantaranya:

Memindahkan semua postingan review kedalam category aside (ID 129)
Tidak menampilkan postingan review (yang termasuk dalam category aside) pada loop index (Home)
Tidak menampilkan postingan review (yang termasuk dalam category aside) pada feed dari blog ini
Tidak menampilkan judul postingan review (yang termasuk dalam category aside) pada kolom Recent Entries
Membuat kolom ASIDES yang dikhususkan untuk menampilkan cuplikan dari beberapa postingan review yang tertanam didalam blog ini. Bagian ini terinspirasi dari blognya si om Brokencode dengan theme yang digunakannya.

Itulah beberapa modifikasi yang saya lakukan demi menyembunyikan posting2an review yang ada di blog ini. Mudah2an blog saya ini bisa ramai dikunjungi temen2 blogger khususnya pengunjung setia blog ini seperti dahulu kala sebelum ditanamkan posting2an review ini. Kalopun masih terlihat beberapa postingan review yang masih ada di halaman utama itu berarti hanya sisa2 postingan review yang tidak masuk kedalam category aside. Mungkin di postingan selanjutnya saya akan membahas bagaimana cara mengotak-atik kode wordpressnya untuk melakukan beberapa modifikasi diatas.
